Taking it down and taking it slow Where I’m going, I don’t know Got my hat on and my brand new pair of boots Heading Southbound, listening to the blues Every time I see your face Well it takes me back to that place But your smile is fading fast Now I need this journey to last All my life (Don’t know why) We’re gonna live like rock n roll Stand up and tell ‘em where to go We’re gonna live like rock n roll Just like The Beatles and The Stones Rolling Stones Taking it down and taking it slow Where I’m going, I just don’t know Got my hat on and a brand new pair of boots Driving Southbound, listening to the blues All my life (Don’t know why) We’re gonna live like rock n roll Stand up and tell ‘em where to go We’re gonna live like rock n roll Just like The Beatles and The Stones Rolling Stones

Your words are like shivers that shoot through my spine Your thoughts are like colours that glow in my mind Your love is a river that flows like my blood Your ghost is a shadow I’d chase if I could And no one ever told me The price I’d have to pay And no one ever told me I’d end up here today Your heart is an ocean I swim everyday Your dreams are the pictures I paint on the way And no one ever told me The price I’d have to pay And no one ever told me I’d end up here today

The Highway 03:03
Driving down the highway at speed Got a million places to see Don’t mind the rain or the sleet See a rainbow through my windscreen Are you ever gonna find time for me? Are you ever gonna find time for me? Driving down the highway at speed Got a thousand horses at my feet Don’t know whats next for you and me Gotta slow it down so we can see Are you ever gonna find time for me? Are you ever gonna find time for me? Don’t mind the rain Don’t mind the rain Let it fall Don’t mind the rain Don’t mind the rain Let it fall

There's a folksong in my ear There's a wild one gone from here There's a race horse on the track There's a monkey on my back We belong to no one We are strong as they come There's a scarecrow in the breeze There's an old man beggin’ please There's a newborn at your feet There's a riot on the street We belong to no one We are strong as they come Like a bird that has flown We’re a long way from home There's a jet trail in the sky There's a young boy asking why There's a suitcase on the floor There's a taxi at the door We belong to no one We are strong as they come Like a bird that has flown We’re a long way from home We’re the Black Irish Dogs (they don’t want, they don’t want) We’re the Black Irish Dogs (they don’t want, they don’t want, they don’t want)

I was born on a country mountain Where the moon shone bright and true And I had me a good life And I hope my friends did too When I shake the hand of Jesus Lay a good book next to me Cause I might need some good luck Just to keep me company I was born on a Sunday morning When the sun came shining through And I had me a good life And I hope my friends did too Solo I was born on a country mountain Where the stars shone bright and true And I had me a good life And I hope my friends did too And I had me a good life And I hope my friends did too
