No One Ever Told Me

from Country Mountain EP feat. Boz Boorer by BEAD

/

about

This is the oldest song on the EP, written by Bead circa 1993. Mostly acoustic but with a haunting cello sound added. It seemed to fit with the overall acoustic sound of the EP.

lyrics

Your words are like shivers that shoot through my spine
Your thoughts are like colours that glow in my mind
Your love is a river that flows like my blood
Your ghost is a shadow I’d chase if I could

And no one ever told me
The price I’d have to pay
And no one ever told me
I’d end up here today

Your heart is an ocean I swim everyday
Your dreams are the pictures I paint on the way

And no one ever told me
The price I’d have to pay
And no one ever told me
I’d end up here today
